The Business Registration Service (BRS)<\/a><\/strong> has issued a Beneficial Ownership Compliance Notice<\/a><\/strong> targeting private companies that have failed to comply with Directive No. 1 of 2024, issued under Section 93A of the Companies Act, Cap 486<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This directive requires all companies registered in Kenya to file a copy of their register of beneficial owners with the Registrar of Companies. Companies that remain non-compliant within 30 days of receiving the official notice<\/strong> risk being struck off the Register of Companies<\/strong>..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
